Although our prices are the lowest available in the state, traditional Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy can be expensive. The hyperbaric chambers can cost over $70,000 each. Maintenance and routine parts necessary to run these chambers are extremely expensive and often can only be purchased through the manufacturer in Great Britain. The oxygen we use is provided by only one company here in Hawaii, and is expensive to buy and have delivered. Staff training is expensive and very specialized, although the certification achieved through that training is internationally recognized. And finally, other overhead costs such as chamber insurance, adequate chamber space, and related expenses such as the hyperbaric gowns and examination equipment are very expensive.
At the same time, the benefits of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy almost always far outweigh the costs. For example, the benefit of saving a diabetic limb from amputation, or restoring a person's ability to walk or speak after a stroke is considered by many to be priceless.
