MANOA (KHNL) - One day after winning their first season opening match since 2005, the 13th ranked Warrior volleyball team didn't get much time to celebrate. Friday evening it was back to the court to face an even tougher 7th ranked USC Trojan team.

However, the Trojans proved to be too much for Hawaii to handle. They sweep the Warriors 30-25, 30-27 and 30-23. Joshua Walker led the home team with 15 kills.

"Well we know we need to get better at serving and passing, they clearly had the edge in those two departments on us right now, and they were in system a lot and they had two players they had that we couldn't do anything with them tonight, number eleven Murphy Troy and Zane their middle number sixteen, we just couldn't touch them," said UH head coach Mike Wilton.

The Warriors play top ranked and defending national champions Penn State on Saturday at 7pm.
