HONOLULU (KHNL) - About 200 men, women and children enjoyed a Thanksgiving feast at the Institute for Human Services homeless shelter in Honolulu.

Employees of the Hilton Hawaiian Village and Hilton Grand Vacations served up a seven-course meal. It included turkey, stuffing, vegetables and, of course, pumpkin pie.

The food brought smiles to the faces of Steven Murray, his wife and three children.

"This is really, really nice and I appreciate it and I know all the families do," Murray said.

"How's the food?" this reporter asked.

"The food is excellent," he replied. "The turkey is tender."

"Even with the economy where it is today, there are people who are worse off," Will Brinkerhoff, Hilton Grand Vacations, said. "And this is our opportunity to give back to the community."

This is the 14th annual Hilton Hawaiian Thanksgiving event at IHS, which provides 24-hour emergency shelter.
