HONOLULU (KHNL) - It was a bloody scene at Moanalua High School Tuesday, as students learned the consequences of drinking and driving.

Of course, the blood was fake and the deadly car crash was all an act. But the drama was so realistic, some of the kids watching were overcome with emotion.

Kekai Seabury, whose father was killed in a head-on collision five years ago, looked on. He says he hopes teens got the message and will make responsible choices.

"It felt like just was yesterday. In fact, it felt like it was real now, you know," he said through tears. "And, like I said, I hope these kids understand."

"I felt kind of sad because one of the girls that was on the ground that was dead was my friend," Lorene Hashida, 10th grader, said. "So I felt like if that ever happened to me, how would everyone else feel."

Police, firefighters, paramedics and others have held the mock DUI crash at other high schools, including Kaimuki and Kapolei.
