HONOLULU (KHNL) - Seven men are charged with running a drug trafficking ring, a high-rise fire in Waikiki sends one person to the hospital and dramatic photos of a shark, attacking a turtle. These are the most viewed stories on KHNL.com this week.

Seven men are charged with running a drug trafficking ring. Their arrests are the result of a two-year long investigation.

Officials say the men were using medical marijuana laws, to disguise their drug trafficking organization.

Officers seized 335 marijuana plants, marijuana laced-candies, and more than $14,000 dollars in cash.


Number 2: Fire crews respond to Ilikai Hotel fire

A high rise fire in Waikiki sent one person to the hospital. The fire started in a condo unit on the 19th floor of the Ilikai Hotel.

One part of the hotel had to be evacuated, while fire crews investigated. One person was in the unit at the time of the fire. The sprinklers helped firefighters contain the flames.

It's not uncommon for tiger sharks to attack green sea turtles, but it's not everyday you get to see it. A KHNL viewer sent in these dramatic pictures of the ocean encounter in Hawaiian waters. It happened at Maunalua Bay on east Oahu. The tiger shark is estimated to be 14 feet long.
