Big Island police cracking down on drunken drivers

BIG ISLAND (KHNL) - Big Island police are cracking down on drunken drivers.  Between November 4 and November 10, Big Island police arrested 25 motorists for drunk driving.

Four of the drivers were involved in a traffic crash. Four were under the age of 21.

So far this year, there have been 1,180 DUI arrests compared with 1,153 during the same period last year, an increase of 2 percent.

DUI roadblocks and patrols will continue island wide.
