Honolulu Symphony suffers from slow economy

HONOLULU (KHNL) - The Honolulu Symphony, like many businesses these days, is suffering from the slowing economy.

Its musicians and staff members haven't been paid on a timely basis.

Symphony executives say this is a tough time of the year because the concert season just started, and it takes time for revenues to catch up to costs.

The good news is subscription sales are up, and employees' pay will be current by Wednesday.
