At number 3: Stephanie Lum becomes a Rainbow Dancer

"Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the Rainbow Dancers with a special appearance by KHNL News 8's Job Swap girl Stephanie Lum!" said the Aloha Stadium announcer.

KHNL News 8's anchor Stephanie Lum steps into the shoes of the Rainbow Dancers.

She helped kick off the Warrior season into high gear, during a performance at Aloha Stadium.

With the music blaring and the fans cheering, Stephanie and her partner strut their stuff to thousands of Warrior fans.

Number 2: Man risks life for cheap rent

"During the night, I had slid through it while I was asleep and ended up falling to the first floor from the second floor on rocks," said tenant William Weeks.

An Oahu man, who lived in the Kalihi home that collapsed, talks about his terrible living conditions.

He nearly died when he fell through the home, just days before it came crumbling down.

That fall put him in the hospital but could have saved his life.

He lived in the home for nine months and braved the terrible conditions because the monthly rent was only $200.

And the number 1 story: Senator Obama's grandmother passes away

Just a day before the General Election, Barack Obama's beloved grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, passed away in her Honolulu apartment.

Obama's sister, Maya Soetoro-Ng, was at her side.

The 86-year-old ends a long battle with cancer.

Obama credits Dunham for raising him to become the man he is today.
