Drug usage in workplace remains stable

A new report released by Diagnostic Laboratory Services found that drug usage in the workplace is stable for the third quarter, with statistics showing a very slight decrease in marijuana and opiate use.

"This is good news," said Carl Linden, Diagnostic Laboratory Services scientific director of toxicology.  "Although marijuana usage is still higher than last year, the third quarter was more stable, with no spikes in either direction."

DLS's quarterly sample size typically includes between 7,000 to 10,000 drug tests.
