KAHALA (KHNL) - Several hundred fans lined up at Long's Drugs at the Kahala Mall to get free autographs on the new limited edition Wheaties box, that features Olympic gold medalist, Bryan Clay. The Castle High School alum has been referred to as "the world's greatest all-around athlete" after winning the gold medal in the decathalon.

But maybe an even bigger honor for clay is being one of only two US medal winners from the Beijing games to be featured on a Wheaties box.

"To be able to be put on a Wheaties box. To even be thought of on a Wheaties box is a huge honor. My brother and I used to walk down the aisle and look at the champions on the boxes... So for me to be the guy on the wheaties box. and to have kids seeing me on the boxes... Its special... It means a lot to me, said Clay.

For the past couple of weeks, Clay has been hosting free speed training clinics to kids all across the islands... it's Bryan's way of giving back to the people and the state that has supported him, from the beginning.

"Hopefully I can continue to do what I'm doing, and I can continue putting Hawaii on the map and let people know about hawaii and how good of a state we are... and how much talent we have here... And pave the way for other athletes from Hawaii to go out and conquer the world, and be the best in the world at whatever they're gonna do", said Clay.
