At number 3: Makakilo hostage situation ends peacefully

SWAT team negotiators, peacefully end a standoff with an armed man, who barricaded himself and his wife in their home.

Neighbors called police about an argument, coming from the Makakilo home. Police discovered the 51-year-old man had a gun, and would not let his wife out.

The man surrendered after a five-hour standoff with police.


Number 2: Kauai man arrested for second-degree murder

A 22- year- old man accused of fatally shooting a 43-year-old man on Kauai, was arrested for second degree murder.

Police say Payton Rapozo shot Antonio Torres after an argument.

Relatives held Rapozo until police arrived.

Police say the victim is the boyfriend of Rapozo's mother.


And the number one story:  Woman dies after being stabbed in her home

A 27-year-old woman is dead after a stabbing in her home.

Police say the victim was stabbed in her bedroom by a 19-year-old man, who broke into the apartment.

The woman's husband and two year old daughter were also stabbed.

The suspect, Sato Sigrah, is charged with first degree murder, second degree attempted murder, and burglary.
