SCHOFIELD BARRACKS (KHNL) - A Hawaii-based soldier, who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom, was killed in Iraq Tuesday.
The Department of Defense says 23-year-old Pfc. Christoper McCraw of Columbia, Mississippi died October 14 in Baghdad when he encountered small arms fire while on dismounted patrol in Nasar Wa Salam.
McCraw was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division in Schofield Barracks.
