HONOLULU (KHNL) - A group of Maryknoll School students got an opportunity to see that a big Hollywood star can be humble and down to earth - literally.

Actor Jason Scott Lee spoke to about 60 eighth graders Wednesday, about his "living pono" film - why he decided to change his lifestyle, what his typical day is like, and what he does for entertainment.

The film documents how Lee now lives off the land of his 25 acre farm in Hilo.

He raises his own chickens, grows his own taro, and barters for other supplies as needed.

Students asked him questions ranging from what he misses the most about the Hollywood life (his friends) to what kind of car he drives (a Toyota pickup).
