LIHUE, Kauai (KHNL) - A series of workshops entitled "Ke Ala Pono: Healthy Living" is being offered for seniors 60 and older with chronic health conditions.
Participants will be introduced to practical skills while managing their ongoing health condition.
Topics include communicating effectively, relaxation exercise, developing action plans, problem solving, managing symptons or problems such as fatigue, pain and isolation.
The workshops begin October 1 and will be held every Wednesday for six weeks at the Lihue Civic Center from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Registration is limited to 16 participants and their caregivers.
The workshops are part of a statewide initiative called Healthy Aging Partnership - Empowering Elders.
