WAILUKU, Maui (KHNL) - The County of Maui went live with its new Web site that's designed to be service-oriented and environmentally-friendly.
The site serves as a portal to its departments, services and programs and is powered by renewable energy credits that offset 100% of the site's carbon footprint.
"We redesigned the Web site to give our residents convenient access to government information," said Mayor Charmaine Tavares. "Our intention was to provide better customer service that is readily available, inviting and simple to use."
The Web site is designed to be easier to navigate, by categorizing information in a way that online visitors can understand.
