Waikiki beachfront hotel unveils new Pacific Tower

WAIKIKI (KHNL) - Guests can now enjoy their first taste of the brand new Pacific Tower in Waikiki.  The Outrigger Reef on the Beach unveiled the 403 brand-new guest rooms and 33 enlarged suites recently.

The hotel's new guest rooms and suites come with modern amenities like 32-inch flat-panel LCD televisions, free long-distance phone calls within Hawaii and North America and free high-speed Internet access.

Undersea photograyphy, full sized tubs, spacious new vanity with lighted cosmetic mirror and made-in Hawaii bath amenities are included in every room.

Bill Comstock, general manager of the Outrigger Reef says guests who previously stayed in the Pacific Tower will not recognize the new rooms.

"The Pacific Tower was gutted and completely rebuilt into larger guest rooms with beautiful new interiors and an array of modern amenities," said Comstock.  "After the long wait, we're thrilled to have guests enjoying our new tower and initial feedback has been extremely enthusiastic."

The opening of the tower marks the beginning of the final phase of the upscale hotel's $110 million transformation project.

Earlier, the hotel opened its beachfront Ocean Tower, also completely renovated with modern amenities.
