Hannemann under 50% in second printout

HONOLULU (KHNL) - Honolulu mayor Mufi Hannemann has 49.8% of the vote in the second printout, less than the 50% plus one vote needed to avoid a November 4 runoff. The thrid and final printout will determine whether Hannemann will have to face that runoff against Honolulu city council member Ann Kobayashi.

Kobayashi has captured 30.5% of the vote thus far. University of Hawaii professor Panos Prevedouros has garnered 17% of the vote.

The second printout was released at around 9:30 PM Saturday night and refelects 169 of 212 precincts or about 80% of all precincts.

Panos Prevedouros 15,114 - 17 percent
