CHINATOWN, Oahu (KHNL) - A wave of real life stories about surfing will break at the Chinatown Boardroom, from 6:30pm-7:30pm on the 3rd Thursday of each month.
This Thursday's Surf Discussion Series on September 18, 2008, will feature legendary surfer Kimo Hollinger.
In front of the crowd Hollinger will share his experiences about waves, surfing and his short story book entitled "Kimo."
A big wave surfer from the 1960's, Hollinger, is also a former lifeguard, a retired fire captain, and an author.
The creators of the Surf Discussion Series hope the monthly event will provide a forum for people to meet and discuss the life and culture of surfing.
