Mayor Hannemann suspends press secretary Brennan

HONOLULU (KHNL) - Honolulu mayor Mufi Hannemann's spokesperson received a five-day suspension without pay Wednesday.

Honolulu police arrested Bill Brennan last week Friday on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Hannemann's office says the incident was in no way related to Brennan's official duties and the case is still pending.

They say Brennan agreed to the suspension.

He's been the spokesperson for the mayor since 2004.
