KAUA'I (KHNL) -- Police are investigating a car crash that killed two people Tuesday afternoon in Lihu'e, Kauai.
The head-on collision, north of Lihu'e, happened on Kuhio Highway in the vicinity of the Hilton Kauai Beach Resort. Police say a 32-year-old Lihu'e man died at the scene and a 42-year-old Kapaa man died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital.
The wife of the Lihu'e man and his six-month-old baby are in critical condition. They were both airlifted to the Queen's Medical Center on Oahu for treatment. Details on what caused the crash are still unknown.
