For one day only State ID cards will be issued in Kalihi

HONOLULU (KHNL)- For those in need of identification personnel from the Hawaii State ID office will be on hand Saturday, September 6 at Kalihi Waena Elementary School.

State ID cards will be issued from 8:30am-2:00pm at 1240 Gulick Avenue in Kalihi.

The fee for a State ID is $10 dollars for senior citizens 65 years and older, and $15 dollars for all others, payable in cash only.

State ID cards will be processed and mailed to applicants within ten business days.

Application requirements for a State ID are as follows:

New applicants must minimally provide an original social security card and a certified copy of their birth certificate(or resident alien card, if applicable)

For renewals of current ID cards with no change in name or citizenship, no other documents are required.

All changes in name and status due to marriage, divorce, annulment, adoption, or citizenship must be supported by certified government-issued documents. Altered or illegible documents are not acceptable.
