HONOLULU (KHNL) -- The Palama Meat Company announced Sunday that they will be recalling 101 cases of Mays brand Kalua pork from Sam's Club and Costco. The United States Department of Agriculture and the company identified traces of Listeria Monocytogenes.
About 81 cases of the wholesale Kalua pork have been affected by the recall. All products were only distributed in Hawaii. Only pork produced from August 4th to August 7th will be recalled.
Consumers are asked to return the product to the point of purchase and may receive a refund. So far, no cases of illnesses linked to the product have been reported.
