At number 3: Four arrested for robbery

A man and three teens are arrested in connection with a violent robbery in Pearl City, that was captured on camera.

Surveillance video shows four young men, entering a gas station convenience store, and assaulting the cashier.

Investigators say, the suspects stole cigarettes and beer.

Number 2: Plane makes emergency landing

"There was something wrong with the plane and it was obvious because it was filling with smoke," said an American Airlines passenger.

An American Airlines flight to Honolulu experienced scary moments, as a smoky smell was reported in the cabin and cockpit.

The Boeing 757 returned to Los Angeles International Airport, where it made an emergency landing and evacuation.

Firefighters were on-hand to help passengers, as they slid down emergency chutes aboard the plane.

Number one:  Hit and run driver expresses remorse

"Even I don't know what happened," said Arnel Abuluyan.

A man accused in a high-profile, hit and run crash, involving a bicyclist, was released from police custody.

Arnel Aubuluyan was freed pending further investigation.  The 37-year-old is accused of crashing his van into a bicyclist, near Dole Plantation and then, fleeing the scene.

The white van, investigators seized as evidence, belongs to Abbey Carpet, where Abuluyan works as an installer.
