Crews working to resolve watermain break

LEEWARD OAHU (KHNL) - Board of Water Suppy crews have unearthed a 24-inch watermain Thursday afternoon.  It was buried at last 12 feet down.

BWS officials say it appears the damage occurred to the underside of the main.

It will require additional excavation to determine the extent of the damage.

Leeward Coast residents, from Honokai Hale to Makaha are asked to continue conserving water through Saturday morning.

Two Waianae-bound traffic lanes and one town-bound lane are open for afternoon rush-hour.
