WAIKIKI (KHNL) - A new show is on Oahu and is set to open Tuesday, August 5. Waikiki nei, Honolulu's own theatrical production, takes the audience on a breathtaking journey through vibrant scenes of past and present. The local cast brings the legend and spirit of Hawaii's most famous location to life.
From the producers of Maui's 'Ulalena, Waikiki nei is an important element of the revitalization of Waikiki and provides a new and exciting local entertainment with a strong cultural focus.
It is an innovative, multi-media theatrical production about Waikiki- a centuries-old wahi pana, or "storied place," that has become a world-renowned visitor destination. Experience the songs, chants and language of the Hawaiian hosts; the whimsical parodies of vacationing visitors; dazzling visual imagery and lighting in a state-of-the-art theatre.
After the theatrical production the theatre transforms into LEVEL 4 Nightclub and Ultra Lounge. LEVEL 4 is Hawaii's newest and most exciting nightlife destination offering Las Vegas-style entertainment in Waikiki.
Waikiki nei will be shown Tuesday through Sunday at 6 p.m. The show length is 80 minutes. Tickets are $49 to $99 plus tax for adults and $29 to $79 for children ages 3 to 11. Tickets can be purchased by calling (808) 931-6100 or visiting www.waikikinei.com.
