Jury delivers partial verdict for man charged with killing stepfather

HONOLULU (KHNL) - A jury delivers a partial verdict for a man charged with stabbing his stepfather to death and then setting their Ewa Beach home on fire two years ago.

The jury finds Timothy Adarna guilty of first-degree arson.

He faces 20 years in prison when he's sentenced October 8th.

On the charge of murder, jurors say they're deadlocked and that further deliberations will not help.   Because of the hung jury, the judge declares a mistrial.

A new murder trial is set for October 6th.
