WAHIAWA (KHNL) -- Honolulu police are searching for a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run crash that killed a bicyclist.
They say, it happened shortly after midnight, Tuesday morning on Kamehameha Highway fronting the Dole Plantation.
According to police, an 18-year-old man was bicycling on Kamehameha Highway when he was hit. A passerby foudn him unresponsive on the side of the road, with glass and debris covering the roadway. Witnesses, they heard a loud crash a saw a red utility truck flee the scene.
Paramedics took the victim to Queen's Medical Center in extremely critical condition, where he later died.
Police say, the red truck may have extensive front-end damage. If you have any information, call police.
