Waikoloa Beach Resort to launch new entertainment venue

HONOLULU (KHNL) - A new entertainment venue is slated to open at Waikoloa Beach Resort this summer.

Waikoloa Bowl at Queens' Gardens will open on Saturday, August 30 to with a crowd-pleasing performance by Grammy award-winning musical group Earth, Wind & Fire.

The grand opening concert will also simultaneously showcase world-renowed artist Malcolm Farley who will be painting a live portrait of the band during the performance.

Farley's work will be auctioned off following the concert with portion of the proceeds going to the Waikoloa Foundation.

The Earth, Wind & Fire concert is the first of many concerts scheduled in the Waikoloa Nights concert series.

The concert begins at 8:00 p.m. followed by a fireworks display.

Tickets go on sale Saturday, July 19.
