Bank supports Hawaii athletes competing in summer Olympics

HONOLULU (KHNL) - Central Pacific Bank is supporting Hawaii athletes who will be representing the United States at the Summer Games in Beijing.

All 39 Central Pacific Bank branches statewide will be open to collect funds for local athletes from July 14 through August 31.

The funds will be used to help offset training expenses for athletes and to defray the costs of their families' of attendance at the summer games.

Central Pacific Bank will match every dollar donated, up to $25,000.

"Central Pacific Bank is very proud to recognize the amazing accomplishments of our local athletes, who will be representing our entire country in Beijing," said Clint Arnoldus, president and CEO of Central Pacific Bank.

To qualify for funds, the athlete must be on the U.S. team, must have graduated from a Hawaii high school, and have immediate family members residing in Hawaii.
