HONOLULU (KHNL) - The fate of a man accused of killing a tourist at a Leeward Oahu beach is now in the hands of a jury.

Less Schnabel, Jr. is charged with manslaughter. Attorneys delivered their closing arguments Monday.

Prosecutors say Schnabel punched a tourist in the head at Zablan Beach Park in Nanakuli last year. Christopher Reuther, a law school hopeful from North Carolina, collapsed and later died.

Schnabel says he acted in self-defense.

The jury continues its deliberations Tuesday.
