HONOLULU (KHNL) - Three men accused of a savage beating in Wahiawa over the weekend made their first court appearance in the case Tuesday.

Failua Sione, Logovii Talo, and Fetuli Vakameilalo are charged with attempted murder. Bail is set at $100,000 each.

A brawl, involving as many as 30 men, broke out on California Avenue Saturday night. Witnesses say the suspects beat Rooney Racoma, 20, using bats.

The victim remains in critical condition.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Thursday.
