Kailua parade celebrates America's Independence

KAILUA (KHNL) - Hauoli La Hanau (Happy Birthday) America is the theme for Kailua's 62nd annual Fourth of July parade.

It will begin at 10am on July 4, at the corner of Omao Street and Kainalu Drive in Kailua.

The Grand Marshall leading this year's parade will be business activist, Jack Richardson.The Hawaii National Guard, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and Korean War Veterans will be some of the participants marching in the parade. Music will be provided by the Royal Hawaiian Band, the Celtic Pipes & Drums and several other parade entrants.

An aerobatic demonstration will entertain the crowd at 6pm followed by a fireworks display at 8pm above Kailua Bay.
