HONOLULU (KHNL) - An Oahu judge has determined there's enough evidence to send a suspected copper thief's case to trial.

James Taylor, Jr., 43, is charged with felony copper theft and criminal property damage. His preliminary hearing was held Thursday afternoon.

Sheriffs staking out the H-1 Freeway near Makakilo Sunday say they caught the suspect stealing about 70 lbs. of copper wiring.

Taylor is scheduled to enter a plea at Circuit Court July 10th.
