Island Air launches in-flight ad campaign

HONOLULU (KHNL) - In hopes of creating a new source of income for airlines to battle rising operating costs and providing a unique way for ad agencies to advertise in Hawaii, Island Air gets creative with a new in-flight advertising campaign.

Local advertising agency, Unis LLC is the first to place an ad onboard the airline.

This type of advertising is common among airlines in Europe and is becoming more popular with airlines in the U.S.

Nikolay Klyashtornyy, CEO & President of Unis, believes in-flight advertising will help promote local companies by spreading their brand to locals and visitors throughout Hawaii.

Island Air serves eight airports and six islands with 90 to 100 daily flights.
