MAUI (KHNL) -- An inmate who escaped from Maui Community Correctional Center on Sunday, May 25 has been captured.
Gary Arrojo was arrested Wednesday in Wailuku at a homeless encampment on Lower Waiehu Beach Road.
Arrojo was in custody for Felony shoplifting since May 11, 2008.
Arrojo escaped when he scaled the inner fence by climbing on top of a building and jumping over the fence. He then went under the outer fence.
