HANAUMA BAY (KHNL) -- Hanauma Bay's Nature Preserve sees more than 3,000 visitors each day...with snorkeling as one of the main attractions.

Hanauma Bay, a spot for locals, little ones and now me.

Luckily I'm not the only first timer.

"Have you been snorkeling before? Really? It's my first time too. We can be buddies," I said to a woman named Judy.

"Judy, is it your first time too? Alright we've got a little club here," I said.

Instructions over, it's time for tram down to the bay.

"Notice the coral and waves this is one of the most beautiful sites I've ever seen," I said.

The bay is packed, before I start snorkeling I get some tips.

"This is going to be my first time snorkeling any advice for me? Uhhh....don't swallow the water!" Shanti Sidhu said.

I grab the gear and now it's a matter of getting it on.

"Excuse me sir do you need some help?" said Megan Stevenson.

Luckily, I meet Megan. And for her, snorkeling is serious business.

Finally the moment I've been waiting for.

"Now it's time to go in the water? This is kind of funny like we're penguins or something," I said.

Megan and I set out and snorkel. We see some amazing sights.

The fish, the coral, it's a cause to just stop and stare at the beauty of Hanauma Bay.

For this first timer, snorkeling is more than an activity, it's a one of a kind experience.
