City Hires Former Aloha Airlines Employees, Will Recruit More

HONOLULU (KHNL) -- The City has hired more than 40 former Aloha Airlines employees who lost their jobs when the company shut down last month.

The former Aloha employees hired by the City will work in a wide range of jobs in several departments.

The City also provided training for four former Aloha pilots that will help them qualify for jobs with other airlines.

City officials are looking to hire more at a job fair being held Wednesday, May 21.

The City Career Expo is held from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Neal Blaisdell Center.
