HONOLULU (KHNL) -- The company that will take over Aloha airline's cargo division has a new Chief Operating Officer.
Mike Coffman will head Aeko Kula, the newly formed subsidiary of Saltchuk Resources.
Coffman previously served as Aloha Airlines' senior vice president of airline operations.
He says the new company will provide the same service as Aloha did for the last two decades, but there will be a few changes.
"Certainly there will be some changes, I think philosophically and in a number of areas in terms of the relationships that we have with employees and with the unions that will sign the grievance to represent them, but basically, the same type of business will be conducting and hopefully doing it as well as we did it in the past," said Coffman.
The new company will be called Aloha Air Cargo. It is scheduled to complete its purchase of Aloha Airline's cargo operation on May 14.
