High SO2 Levels Close National Park Again

HAWAII VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK (KHNL) -- The Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is closed again due to elevated SO2 levels.

For the second time this month, sulfur dioxide levels have reached the designated closure threshold in the summit area of the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

The park is closed until further notice.

Park officials say there is no immediate threat to anyone's safety.
