HMSA Hosts Free Healthy Living Day

KAUNAKAKAI, Molokai (KHNL) -- The people of Molokai enjoyed a day of free health and fun Monday.

The Hawaii Medical Service Association and Na Puuwai Native Hawaiian Health Care System presented the first HMSA eat healthy Hoolaulea Molokai at the Kulana Oiwi Multi-Service Center in Kaunakakai.

Residents were treated to many fun activities, including games, prizes, hula, cooking and exercise demonstrations.

Families also learned about HMSA's Keiki Care Plan, a new program that provides health coverage with no monthly dues to uninsured kids in the Islands.

This event is part of HMSA's eat healthy campaign launched in January 2008, encouraging Hawaii residents to eat smart, eat healthy and enjoy.
