HTA Works to Secure Air Seats for ATA Passengers

HONOLULU (KHNL) -- The Hawaii Tourism Authority has requested a proposal for airline services to accommodate stranded ATA passengers.

HTA held an emergency meeting Friday to approve funds to help underwrite flights and pay for travelers to get back home.

This includes travelers trying to return to the mainland as well as Hawaii residents on the mainland who are trying to return to the islands.

If funds are available, HTA will help underwrite flights for the next few days.

ATA customers can check HVCB's Web site for more information on how to contact other airlines serving ATA's markets.
