HONOLULU (KHNL) -- In response to Aloha Airlines' closures, several hotels and other airlines are coming together to extend a helping hand with special rates and discounts for Aloha Airlines passengers.

Hawaiian is accepting Aloha tickets for free Coach Class seating on a first-come, first-served standby basis.  On Monday, March 31, Aloha ticket holders for only Hawaii to U.S. Mainland travel can standby for flights on Hawaiian.  From Tuesday, April 1 through Thursday, April 3, Aloha ticket holders for all interisland and transpacific travel can standby for flights on Hawaiian for the ticketed day of departure only.  There will be a discounted rate of $49 for interisland flights until Monday, April 7.

US Airways will accept tickets for standby travel from passengers who were scheduled to fly on Aloha Airlines flights to or from Hawaii. Passengers will be able to travel for $100 a person on any US Airways flight. Travel must be completed by April 7.  Standby tickets may be purchased through US Airways reservations at 800-428-4322.  Customers will not be able to buy these special fares at the airport.

United Airlines is offering various discounted one-way fares through the end of April to make it easier for passengers to return home.  United will continue to honor reservations that AlohaPass frequent flier members have on a United flight. United will refund frequent flier miles at no additional charge to United Mileage Plus members who have an award ticket reservation on an Aloha flight.  But passengers will not be able to use or transfer Aloha frequent flier miles on a United flight.  For more information, call 800-UNITED1.

Marjet is offering a 20% discount off their charter rates for ticketed Aloha inter-island passengers from Tuesday, April 1 through Monday, April 14.  Marjets offers direct service between all island airports.  For more details, call 800-833-1631.

Marriot Resorts is offering 50% off the regular room rate for three additional nights beyond original checkout date. There's also a Kama'aina rate for ticket holders already in the Hawaiian islands and in need of emergency accomodations. Customers with a hotel reservation that are unable to fulfill their Marriott reservation due to unavailability of flights, will not be charged a penalty as long as they rebook within one year.

Outrigger Hotels & Resorts is offering special rates of $75 to $109 a night at all Ohana Hotels, $119 at the Ala Moana Hotel's Waikiki Tower, $129 at the Wyland Waikiki and 50% discount at the Outrigger Reef on the Beach, Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach, as well as all Outrigger Resort Condominiums and the Keauhou Beach Resort on the Big Island.  For reservations, call 800-688-7444.

Starwood Hotels & Resorts is offering special rates at all properties across the state starting at $130 up to $270.   Ask for rate code ALOHA08.

And Penchecks, Inc., the nation's largest employee benefits distribution company, will offer Aloha Airlines employees their pension distribution and IRA roll-over services, free of charge. For more information, call 800-541-3938.
