HONOLULU (KHNL) -- Two intersections on Maui will be getting a $200 million improvement.
The project funds will be used to install a traffic signal at the intersection of Hana Highway and Wakea Avenue in Kahului.
Funds will also cover a lengthened right-turn lane from Ohukai Road onto Piilani Highway heading towards Maalaea, the addition of a separate left-turn pocket and upgrades to the traffic signal system.
Construction is scheduled to begin in October and be completed in December.
