Man Who Killed Sheriff Gets Life in Prison

HONOLULU (KHNL) -- An Oahu man who killed an off-duty deputy sheriff was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole plus 130 years.

Judge Karl Sakamoto ordered Patrick Lorenzo to serve all terms consecutively.

He was ordered to spend at least 50 years in prison before becoming eligible for parole.

Lorenzo shot and killed deputy sheriff Daniel Browne-Sanchez at Osake Sushi Bar and Lounge.
