Ewa Beach Man Who Killed Wife Sentenced

By Minna Sugimoto

HONOLULU (KHNL) -- An Ewa Beach man who confessed to killing his wife last year received his punishment Monday.

The victim's sisters sobbed, as they spoke at Michael Schuette's sentencing.

In December, the 45-year-old pleaded guilty to manslaughter. Prosecutors say he suffocated his estranged wife, 49-year-old Victoria Schuette, during an argument at their home.

The judge sentenced him to 20 years in prison.
