'Hawaii's Slack Key Ambassador' Passes Away

(KHNL) -- Family and friends are mourning the death of Hawaiian slack-key guitarist and singer, Raymond Kane. He died Wednesday night at Kaiser Permanente Moanalua Medical Center.

Kane's wife said he suffered from respiratory problems.

Kane was known by many as "Hawaii's Slack Key Ambassador."

He received a "Na Hoku Hanohano Lifetime Achievement" award in 2003.

Raymond Kane was 82 years old.
