International Exhibit Comes to Maui for First Time

KAHULUI (KHNL) -- A rare international exhibit of ancient and sacred Buddhist Relics is coming to Maui this weekend for the first time on its around the world tour.

The Heart Shrine Relic Exhibit is a collection of historically significant and culturally unique sacred relics of the historical Buddha and other important Buddhist masters.

The tour has been traveling around the world since 2001.  There have been more than 100 exhibitions throughout the U.S., Canada, Singapore, Taiwan, Mongolia, New Zealand, Russia and Europe.

The exhibit will only be shown in Hawaii on Honolulu and in Maui.

The exhibit is open to public viewing, free of charge.

Feb. 22, 23 & 24 (Fri. Sat. Sun.)  Free of Charge, Donations Welcome

Feb. 22, Fri, 7 -9 pm: Opening Ceremony and Public Viewing

Feb. 23 & 24: Sat. & Sun, 10:00 am - 7:00 pm: Public Viewing
