Wahiawa Man Found Guilty of Electronic Enticement of a Child

HONOLULU (KHNL) -- A 29-year-old Wahiawa man has been found guilty of first degree electronic enticement of a child.

Police say Ray John was chatting with a law enforcement agent whom he thought was a 13-year-old girl.

John told the "girl" he wanted to have sex with her and arranged for a meeting at a laundromat in Manoa Marketplace last June.  He was arrested when he arrived at the meeting place.

John faces a maximum sentence of ten years in prison.  He must also register as a sex offender.

Sentencing is set for May 14.
