Oregon Escaped Felon Could Be in Hawaii

SALEM, Oregon (KHNL) -- The Oregon Department of Corrections and Crimestoppers are asking for your help with finding an escaped felon.

Officials say 35-year-old Chadwick Alan Shores is on the top three "most wanted" list of the Oregon Department of Corrections.

Shores was arrested and charged with rape, kidnapping, assault and controlled substances in connection with a violent attack on his girlfriend in 2003.

In 2004, Shores was assigned to a work crew assisting with a mountain fire in Douglas County when he walked away from the site.

His wherabouts have been unknown until recently.  New information shows Shores is currently in Hawaii, specifically Kahului.  A no-bail warrant has been issued for Shores' arrest with extradition from Hawaii.

Shores is described as being "homeless" and goes by the names of "Sea Shore" or "Anthony".

He is 5'11 and weighs about 160 pounds.  He has a tattoo of a cross on his left shoulder.

Shores' brown hair is long and pulled back.  He may have a beard.  He has distinctive features, such as small ears, a high forehead and freckles that cover his face and body.

He usually wears a baseball hat backwards, rides a bicycle and works as a day laborer.

Shores is considered dangerous and should not be approached.
