Mayor Hannemann Signs Bills into Law

HONOLULU (KHNL) -- Mayor Mufi Hannemann signed into law Friday two bills relating to building permits and aggressive panhandling.

Bill 76 exempts the installation of photovoltaic solar electric power systems from certain plan review and building permit fees.

Bill 81 probits aggressive panhandling within 10 feet of any automated teller machine, ATM facility or check cashing business.

The City Council unanimously approved both bills on January 23.
